Oil Can Grooming Thy Barber East London Opening Party

Going it alone. After the success of his Barbershop concession within the Bike Shed on Old Street, it was time for Frank Rimer to spread his wings and set up his own place. The search for the perfect location is no mean feat but when Frank walked past the empty space just off Brick Lane, he knew it was for him. With the creative vision for the shop already in his mind, he set off to create the new era of Thy Barber. The shop doesn’t disappoint and certainly transports you back in time with its colonial Americanesque shop fit and traditional ethos. Whilst also keeping you firmly in the present day with its relaxed atmosphere and friendly banter.

Heading down from Oil Can HQ we were eager to make it to London in time for the opener of Thy Barber. Setting the scene for the evening was The Thumping Tommy’s with their unique Bluegrass sounds. Sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery and Four Roses Bourbon our needs would be well catered for. The party went on into the night, welcoming unsuspecting passers by to join the celebrations, some even from Brooklyn, who found themselves at home with the drinks on offer. Sad to see the night end, we departed still leaving the night in full swing. Sore heads and good memories in the making!
